What IS “Stellar Astronomy”?

✨ STELLAR [ stel-er ] adjective:

related to a star or stars, outstanding, exceptionally good.

✨ ASTRONOMY [ uh-stron-uh-mee ] noun:

scientific study of the universe & all objects outside of Earth’s atmosphere.

Stellar Astronomy is the scientific study of stars, but I like to use the phrase "stellar astronomy" to describe

the amazingly fun & phenomenal resources I’ve found on my family’s quest for knowledge about our universe.

I consider the things featured here to be particularly outstanding & exceptionally good.

Quite simply, stellar.

I’m an amateur astronomer, aspiring Astronomer,

Astronomy-studying college student,

and whatever title you’d give a mom

who’s been searching for cool, spacey stuff

for her kiddos (and herself!) since 2015.

When I'm not learning about astronomy,

I'm a nonprofit foundation grants

administrator and part-time homeschooler

to my little brainiacs.

I have a B.A. in Psychology,

certifications in Marketing and Business,

and worked in public relations and

marketing in a variety of industries.

Now, I'm pivoting to what inspires me,

because life is too short to be just one thing.

You're never too old to learn, and you deserve

to have a little fun while you're at it!
