Stellar Views From Earth

It’s mind blowing that us little humans have the magical ability to capture views of astronomically gigantic formations of dust and matter millions of light years away from us.

Astronomy photography is breathtaking & STELLAR, literally!

It's almost unbelievable that these objects actually exist! Here are some of my favorites.

Seahorse Nebula

Part of NGC 2074 in the Large Magellanic Cloud, the dark "seahorse"-like pillar near the center-right is 20 light-years long. This region is actively giving birth to new stars.

Butterfly Nebula

Planetary Nebula NGC 6302 is in our Milky Way Galaxy in the Scorpius constellation. The "butterfly's" wingspan is 2 light-years across and is the result of a dying red giant star.
